What To Expect in a Photoshoot with Leanne Elizabeth Photography

My photoshoots are child-led

I take a very relaxed approach to all my sessions. My main aim is to make everyone feel comfortable especially the children. My photoshoots are all about documenting your children just as they are so it is very important to me that I give them the time and space to be comfortable with me and show off their unique and beautiful personalities. If they are doing something they don't want to do or get upset then this won't happen so the child will always lead the way.

Minimal Posing

This means that I may ask you to sit or stand in a certain spot or light and ask you to hold and hug each other to get some detail and family photos but that will be all. I will then stand back and see how you settle and interact with each other to get those natural looking photos that you love.

Expect fun and games

You will be pleased to know that photoshoots with me are not about standing and smiling at the camera. To engage little ones and to get those joyful and connected images you see in my work, I have a lot of fun tips and tricks to make that happen.

Natural Light

I do not use any artificial lighting and only use what is available to me. In your homes, this means I will use the rooms with the best light or we will try and stick near to a window. Outdoors, I would recommend shooting at golden hour (hour before sunset), as this will give a guaranteed softer or golden light and means we do not have to stick to shaded areas which we may have to do if you are having your photoshoot in the middle of the day.
