Now that it is getting a bit chillier outside for photoshoots in Gloucestershire, I wanted to talk about why in home photoshoots are so special and a perfect option for the colder months!
Home is where the heart is - your home is where it all happens! Your babies first steps, where they get ready for their first day of school, where you all snuggle on the sofa watching a film on a Sunday afternoon. And yes, I am sure most the time it is messy and chaotic such as life but won't it be great to take the time to pause and think how wonderful having this messy home full of love and joy actually is. When you have a photoshoot with me, this is exactly what I get you to do. I get you to think about what your favourite activities are to do together at home and we just relax and have fun while I take some photos that you can all cherish forever.
Kids are in their element and are comfortable at home - They love showing me their rooms and toys and showing off all the things they get up to. You don't have to drag them anywhere which will alleviate any stress.
When your kids grow up, they will treasure looking back at these photos just as much as you. I don't know about you but I love looking back on old photos of how my home used to look growing up, what toys I used to have and how my room was decorated. These are things that are often forgotten and are only remembered in a photograph. What a beautiful thing you will be gifting your children.
We won't be sitting on the sofa saying cheese - I will bring all the elements of an outside photoshoot but indoors, we will have fun, jump on beds (if allowed), play games, cuddle along with anything else you have in mind. At photoshoots before, we have played board games, football in the garden, making cakes or even making pizzas which was lots of fun!
Don't worry about the mess - I will move anything that is distracting but its all about documenting who you are as a family so don't worry about a bit of clutter, it all adds to the memories.
